It was super hot outside today, so I decided to have my last dinner in KL somewhere cool and comfy, ended up at Arthur’s Bar & Grill in the Shangri-La KL. Honestly, such a pleasant surprise. The place feels hidden and cozy, not loud like most bars. The music and crowd noise were just right — lively, but still relaxing. Food-wise, I was impressed. Good ingredients, great flavors, and the pricing felt really fair for the quality. Definitely worth it. Service was also spot on, all male staff, very polite and professional without being too chatty. Just classy and smooth.

You come to Arthur’s for the ambience and the service. Having said that, the food is pretty decent too. The Mee Goreng Mamak is what you’d expect at a 5 star hotel - a tasty fried noddle with juicy scallops, prawns, chicken and tofu puffs. This is one of their signature dishes here. Another popular order here is the mixed satay. Again this is quite decent, but hailing from Kajang, this just doesn’t quite meet my expectation in terms of taste. I however liked the Chicken Quesadilla especially when you add the sour cream sauce. Best eaten when warm, this is Recommended. Fried Baby Calamari was crispy and best dipped in the accompanying sour cream sauce. Special mention for the Sun Dried Tomato and Olive Focaccia bread which was served warm with slabs of butter and an olive tapenade. Very tasty and much appreciated. Service is warm and hospitable from a well trained and friendly crew.

Been coming here for close to 4 decades. Still a great place to chill out with comfort food and drinks. And a great place for business meetings. Gotta say that the food was about 45 minutes’ wait
